Residential Care PROGRAM
PHOENIX PROGRAM

We deliver Behaviour Maturity Training designed to equip young people with the skills and understanding needed to make positive, informed life choices.
Many young people in residential care have experienced disrupted upbringings and limited guidance due to inconsistent or absent parenting. As a result, they may have missed key life lessons essential for developing social responsibility, ethical decision-making, and independence. Our program is built around addressing these gaps through practical life lessons delivered in a supportive, mentoring-based framework. This approach allows young people to discover and define positive values for themselves, rather than having them imposed.
Each session is delivered in a way that encourages young people to reflect, engage, and draw their own conclusions. This process builds genuine understanding and internalised learning aligned with strong ethical foundations and healthy social behaviour.
We prioritise creating a safe, inclusive, and non-judgemental environment that focuses on positive reinforcement. Over time, this enables young people to lower their defences, build trust, and feel secure enough to engage openly in learning and personal growth.
Our program prepares young people to transition into independent living after ResiCare with greater confidence. This includes readiness to secure accommodation and enter the workforce through entry-level employment. This is supported by our highly experienced team in youth mentoring and employment services.
The program is flexible and tailored to the individual needs of each young person. We also work collaboratively with your organisation by understanding your goals and aligning our activities to support your KPIs and care outcomes.
To promote consistency and strengthen relationships with young people, we encourage ResiCare youth workers to participate in sessions at their discretion. This allows staff to share their own knowledge and life experience, reinforcing key messages and modelling positive behaviours.
We offer an initial three-month program, with the option to extend based on each young person’s progress and individual needs. Sessions are delivered weekly by one or two trainers, depending on the topic and activities. The program also includes at least one structured group activity to support respectful peer interaction and social skill development.
